The Oura Ring 5 Is Here, And It’s Small

22

Remember when the Ring 4 actually impressed us? Good times. Back then the health tracking was solid, the design was decent. We liked it. Now the Ring 5 wants that same love. But smaller. Much smaller.

Oura dropped the official reveal on Thursday. The news is simple: it is 40% smaller than the last one. It’s the smallest wearable they’ve ever made.

It launches June 4. You pay $399. That gets you the silver or the black. You want bling? Gold, Stealth, Brushed Silver or Deep Rose. Those cost an extra $100. And if you lose your charger or hate carrying bricks? The standalone charging case is $99. Not included. Buy it separately.

Is size everything? Not really. The software is actually where this gets interesting.

Live activity tracking comes built into the Oura app now. You run. You lift weights. The ring knows. It also ships with something called Health Radar. This thing sits in the background. Always on. Watching. If something weird happens with your blood pressure or your nighttime breathing habits, it flags it. Early detection. No more waiting for weekly reports while things go sideways.

Then there is the AI health assistant inside the app. It helps you make sense of the data. There are also new insights on GLP-1 treatments, which seems timely enough.

The software features feel more compelling than the tiny ring itself.

Maybe that says something about us. Maybe it says something about Oura.

Pre-orders are live at the site right now. Go look. Or don’t. See what you’re waiting for.
